Grit, quick thinking, and a desperate race against disaster—this explosive opener launches a series of daring rescues through history.
It’s 1906, and a massive earthquake is hours away from tearing San Francisco apart. Jake and Abbie know it’s coming—but warning people in danger is more difficult than they ever imagined. Doors slam. Strangers scoff. Even with proof in hand, some still refuse to believe.
When a suspicious crowd turns ugly and a policeman hauls them off to a cramped city jail, the clock doesn’t stop ticking. Suddenly, Jake and Abbie find themselves directly in the path of a devastating earthquake!
How will they escape before the ground erupts and firestorms sweep the streets?
